Rockstar Crescent Rolls

By Kalamitykelli @venuscorpiogirl

Yes – I said rockstar and I meant it! I must tell you right up front that I started out trying to make this recipe http://www.rhodesbread.com/blog/blog/bacon-cheese-crescents from Stephanie of Plain Chicken Blog fame, found here: http://www.plainchicken.com/. But when I got home this evening I found that I didn’t have several of the ingredients Stephanie used like Rhodes frozen dough, dry ranch dressing mix, and Oscar Meyer real bacon bits. So…….I decided to fake it. For me, this often doesn’t work. Usually I end up throwing it away because my mind just doesn’t work that way. I can create all kinds of things, but recipes – not so much. I wish I could take better pictures because what I turned out this time rocks! I complimented Brandie over at The Country Cook http://www.thecountrycook.net/ about how wonderful her pictures are and she so kindly told me that I just needed practice and maybe a better and more expensive camera. I thanked her profusely but didn’t have the heart to tell her that this is what I take pictures with:

I changed this recipe a lot but the original idea is from Stephanie at Plain Chicken.

These ingredients are needed:

Bacon cut up and cooked crisp
1/3 Cup Shredded cheese
1 tube Crescent Rolls
Fry up the bacon:

Put on paper towel to drain.

While bacon is frying, put these ingredients into a bowl:

¼ Cup Mayo
1/8 Cup Minced onion
1/8 Cup Minced jarred sweet red peppers
3 dashes hot sauce
Sprinkling of garlic powder

Mix well.
Put bacon, cheese, and mayo mix in a bowl and fold.

Roll out the crescent rolls and place a bit on each roll.

Roll up the roll.

Bake as directions indicate on tube.

These are so tasty we ate all of them for dinner and had to put up the meatloaf and mashed potatoes I made!
