Rock Rugged Road Trip Pt. 8 // Yellowstone National Park

We rolled into Yellowstone late on our last night, grabbed some ice cream, and found our camping spot. Not long after we had settled in for the night a ground-shaking thunderstorm interrupted our slumber. I laid awake for a little while, listening to the rain pour and the thunder crash while lightning lit up the campground. The next morning, we packed up our things for the last time and drove into the park for one last adventure.
First up was a stop at Old Faithful. We had a bit of time before the next eruption, so we wandered around the hot springs and mudpots to pass the time. After watching Old Faithful, we drove around the park, stopping at whatever caught our eye. We didn't see much wildlife on this trip, except for a few buffalo as we entered the park. At this point we were all exhausted and ready to head for home. So we hit the road, taking pictures through the sunroof and bed of the truck as we drove through the Tetons.
In what felt like the blink of an eye, our Rock Rugged Roadtrip was over, and it was time for us to go our separate ways. This was such an incredible adventure, filled with experiences that I will always treasure. In ten days we traveled through Utah, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, Alberta, Montana, Wyoming, and back to Utah.

Now that I've documented my experiences via iPhone, I'll be sharing some of the incredible images from the road trip captured by the two official photographers - Delaina Graff and Whitney Justesen. Stay tuned!
