A new trailer has been released for the upcoming movie, The Company You Keep, starring Robert Redford and Shia LaBeouf.
In his move to become a more serious actor, Shia LaBeouf plays the part of reporter Ben Shepard, who is working on a story about fugitives from the 1970′s who have returned to the spotlight. During his visit with recently detained Sharon Solarz (played by Susan Sarandon), he discovers this story goes deeper than he originally imagined. Jim Grant (Robert Redford) may have too many secrets to hide and the chase thickens to bring him in. Check out the trailer and poster below.
Julie Christie, Richard Jenkins, Stephen Root, Sam Elliott, Brendan Gleeson, Terrence Howard, Anna Kendrick and Jackie Evancho also star in the drama.
Synopsis:
Working from a script by Lem Dobbs, Robert Redford directs and stars in The Company You Keep as Jim Grant, a former member of the Weather Underground who has been hiding out under an assumed identity ever since members of the group participated in a bank heist that ended in a guard’s death. When a young reporter figures out the truth, Grant must stay one step ahead of the FBI, who want to bring charges against him for the decades-old murder.
The Company You Keep will arrive in US cinemas on April 5.
