During an interview with LoudWire, Zombie expressed his feelings toward people illegally downloading media through internet and claimed it actually “freed” him to be more creative.
“I don’t care about any of that stuff. In fact, in a funny sort of way the fact that nobody buys records doesn’t bother me. In fact, I feel like it’s freed me,” Rob Zombie said.
He went on to describe how he didn’t worry about selling records and how that helped him to be more creative in his works. He even feels fine with people listening to his music without paying for it.
“That’s really been the case, I’m happy to give it away for free. I don’t care. I just want to make it, play it, get crazy with it. I hear a lot of musicians crying about it but for me, it’s re-energized us.”

In a way, Rob Zombie makes a strong case. Today, most so called “professional” musicians are only looking to get the most views on YouTube or score million sales off their new CD. While they should have been actually focusing on being creative and making better music.
