Rivers & Roads

Here in Washington, it now looks like Fall but feels like Winter--November is the month of the chilliest sunshine. The key to this kind of weather is layers, lots and lots of layers. A girl might even layer her socks if needed. We do what we gotta do. I wore this outfit on my day off from classes, a relaxing day that consisted of coffee with a friend, taking photos for an Etsy shop (so excited to post those soon!), catching up on Thoreau and grammar books, and Bible study. I'm pretty lucky to have such days.
In other news, both the jacket and the flannel I'm wearing in these photos are borrowed from my mom. Either I am becoming her, which is inevitable anyway, or she is becoming way cooler than me. Either way, I'll be raiding her closet again next week when I'm home for Thanksgiving. Thanks for being hip AND charitable, Mom.
Now I'm off to hit up the buy one, get one free holiday drink event at Starbucks! What better motivation is there to study than peppermint mochas? I mean, besides deadlines and good grades and all that. Whatev.
What's your favorite holiday drink?
