Ring in the Fall with Oktoberfest Chicago

By Urbanmatter Chicago @UMatterChicago

A few things typically come to mind when someone says the word Oktoberfest: beer, Germany, lederhosen, and beer. Did we say beer? Beer.

Oktoberfest Chicago embraces all three of these (lederhosen sold separately).

Date & Time

Oktoberfest takes place from Friday – Sunday, Sept 25-27.

Hours: Friday: 5 pm to 10 pm; Saturday: 11 am to 10 pm; Sunday: 11 am to 7 pm

Oktoberfest will feature live entertainment across two stages all fest long. Plus, there are a bunch of events for kids (we break these down below).

Beer (Yes, again)

And now, for the main event, Craft Beer Night. From 6 pm to 9 pm Friday & Saturday, all attendees will receive 20 tastings of 40+ different beers included in their general admission. You’ll also receive a free pretzel necklace, which is almost just as exciting.

Food

Let’s say the pretzel necklace doesn’t cut it. You’ll also find brats & plenty of other authentic German cuisine to keep the hunger pangs at bay.

Family Fun

KinderFest will be in session on both Saturday & Sunday. With quite a few activities for children (including polka) there will be more than enough to keep them entertained while you chow down on that pretzel necklace of yours.
