Rewind: Moby - Honey

This was released 20 years ago in August 1998, reaching number 33. In just a few years, the New York-based musician Moby jumped from techno to ambient, to punk rock and then to a kind of breakbeat-infused electronica on his fifth album 'Play', which would surface the next year in 1999. Heavily sampling a number of old blues records, its style could maybe be typified by the funky, infectious 'Honey'. Moby's 15th album 'Everything Was Beautiful, and Nothing Hurt' was released earlier this year in March.
