REWIND: Chaka Demus and Pliers - Twist and Shout

25 years ago, this upbeat dancehall pop take on the 60's classic 'Twist And Shout' was a number 1 hit in the UK for the Jamaican duo, who began collaborating together in the early 90s.
In January 1994, Chaka Demus and Pliers became the first Jamaican act to top the chart in 8 years, and the first to have three consecutive top 5 entries on the chart. Twist And Shout was taken from their album 'Tease Me'.
The duo released new material last year, and live dates are planned for 2019.
