I’m sure you’ve seen the Revlon ColouStay ShadowLinks dotted across the internet, well when I was out shopping I couldn’t resist picking a couple up. The idea behind these is simple, you can mix and create your own palette by slotting together your chosen eyeshadows. These do remind me of the Jouer products which are all designed to link together so that you can create your own little palette.
One of the major benefits of having singular eyeshadows that link together is you are able to create your own palette, which is pretty perfect for travelling, you can pull out the colours you want, slot them together and just pop them in your makeup bag, simples!
I picked mine up in Boots where they were on 3 for 2, so obviously I had to pick up 3! I choose 2 satin and one matte. When it came to choosing which shades to pick up I decided to get three which I could use together to create an eye makeup look. I wanted to be able to quickly pick it out for going away and having my own created palette which won’t take up too much space.
I have the shades Plum, Taupe, and Petal. To begin with pigmentation is good and fallout is minimal. two things which I think are very important in an eyeshadow. I’ve never tried Revlon eyeshadows before but I am impressed, and will definitely be picking up a few more of these.
As you can see above, Petal is the perfect shade for highlighting you can only just see it on my hand. Taupe is the color I choose to go over the lid, and then Plum in the crease to add a little color. Below is a photo of the look I created with the three colours.
