Review:
I thought the premise of Stained was interesting and I requested to review the book. It wasn’t a long book, but it was entertaining. Julia lost her adoptive parents at the beginning of the novel and left to avoid being placed with the state again. When she met up with Cayne, she realized there was an entire world out there and she was part of something extraordinary.
There were a couple different twists and turns. Cayne was a mysterious character who wasn’t at all forthcoming about himself. It kept me interested because I wanted answers to the same questions Julia needed answers to. The paranormal plot was action packed and dangerous as the two of them stayed on a path to find their answers and defeat the person responsible for the death of Julia’s parents.
Stained was neither all that unique nor all that complicated, but it was interesting, entertaining, and action packed. I liked the adventure and the connection between the characters and I would definitely recommend the book to anyone looking for a fun and quick paranormal book.
