Reviews of Reviews: The Week of June 9th , 2014

By Johntalbott

Monday-Tuesday, in A Nous Paris, there was an article on Yves Camdeborde.
Tuesday in Le Fooding the good news was the opening of the sandwich/burger Restaurant Ô Divin Épicerie, 130, rue de Belleville, in the 20th, 01.43.66.62.63, open everyday 10-9, costing 15 E for well-sourced bread, sandwich fillings and wine from well-known places (Ô Divin, Repaire de Cartouche, etc).
Wednesday, in le Figaroscope, Emmanuel Rubin reviewed five new places giving three lips to two: the aforementioned Clown Bar in the 11th and La Fine Mousse Restaurant, 4 bis, ave Jean-Aicard in the 11th, 09.80.45.94.64, closed Sundays and Mondays costing about 30 E for tapas or degustation menus at 49 and 79 E for items such as a paleron, duck breast and sweet potato.  He also gave one lip to the Italian Su Misura in the 7th and busted lips to L’Agnone in the 16th and the pricey Le Hibou in the 6th.
Hugo de Saint-Phalle, Colette Monsat and Alice Bosio wrote the Dossier this wek and it concerned “white” dishes:
Rice pudding at La Regalade Conservatoire
A white plate at Passage 53
Burrata at Les Vinaigriers
Blanc a manger at Jean-Francois Piege
Cheesecake with white chocolate at Supernature
White lemon tart at Le Corot
White tarama at L’Ilot
Frozen yogurt at Baci Bisou
In addition, Alice Bosio (in celebration of Brazil’s hosting the World Cup) reviewed the Brazilian restaurants:
Oka
Gabriela
Jesusparadis
Le Pario
Leblon
And Emmanuel Rubin wrote up Gabriela as his Hache Menu.
Finally, Sophie de Santis wrote an article in Le Figaro about dining in silence and mindfulness (www.ledinerensilence).
And Wednesday as well, Heidi Ellison in Paris Update went to the aforementioned Clown Bar.
Thursday, Francois-Regis Gaudry reviewed the previously mentioned Le Bon Georges in the 9th and Le Cale in Blainville-Sur-Mer.
