Review: Ubinota is a Fun Puzzle Game That Challenges Your Wits

Don’t let those adorable looking characters and beautiful visuals fool you, because this highly addictive 3D puzzle game gets harder by every level and you will get hooked from the beginning of the game.

In a world where inhabitants live in the sky on floating islands made of cubes, a disaster threatens to make the population fall into the depths. The magic paint that keeps the cubes stuck together is drying out. Lucien, a trainee painter, fights with others against the disaster by repainting the islands.

That synopsis pretty much sums up the entire game. Playing as Lucien, a funny and an always-hungry guy, your mission is to carefully paint the cubes in the clouds to keep the houses from falling. It’s as simple as that.

There are over 100 levels in this game in 7 different skies. I went through the first and second levels within an hour, thinking this game is just too easy, but boy was I wrong. I’m a bit embarrassed to say that I’m still stuck on the third level.

Before you even begin this game, you will fall in love with the artistically gorgeous visuals and the fun characters in this game. I must give credit to the developer, Rotateam, for the game’s brilliant 3D design that let us view the puzzle from every angle. I’ve never seen such an innovative take on a puzzle game.
