Skinny Tan is a salon-quality, self-tanner that instantly bronzes the skin then develops into a deep gorgeous golden brown that lasts for up to 7 days.
Skinny Tan boast that they are the first self- tanner that combines a natural tanning active with naturally derived skin smoothing actives to visibly tan, contour and reduce the visible appearance of cellulite! Sounds good so far. They also offer a money back guarantee, that is how confident they are in their own product.
For this review I was sent a tub of gradual tanner, a tub of pre-tan primer, the cutest little hand mini mitt for the face, and also a full body mitt.
I was a bit nervous applying it myself (as it has been a while since I last used fake tan), and the first time I did apply it, my legs came out in a nice subtle bronze colour, fantastic! However I did get it a bit patchy around my toes, so on the second attempt a week later, I applied it more sparsely around my feet/toes, and that time the finish was perfect. A bronze glow that looked natural on my very pale skin.
Skinny Tan is really easy to apply as long as you prep the area properly first, i.e. I exfoliated and moisturised before then applying the fake tan. Then to apply the cream use the mitt, as it not only protects your hand and fingers from getting stained, but also buffs and smoothes the tan in nicely. In addition I found Skinny Tan doesn't have that horrid fake tan scent; it has a pleasant coconut scent.
You can buy it on the Skinny Tan website costing £19.99, which compared to other fake tan brands is quite a reasonable price. Or you can buy the kit for £36.99 which also includes the pre-tan primer.
Would I buy it again? Yes, I have tried many brands over the years and with having very pale skin it is very hard to find one suitable for my skin, especially the finished effect and colour, but with Skinny Tan I really liked the finished colour, and after my practice attempt, I now find it simple to apply, almost effortlessly. It really is very easy.
