Review: Shiseido Radiant Lifting Foundation for Acne Blemishes

Posted on the 03 December 2013 by Cel O

Hi everyone, here’s my current favorite foundation from Shiseido, and not to mention their Perfect refining did very well too. :)

 Description (source here)

♦Revive your skin with light. A revolutionary anti-aging foundation with innovative light technology to eliminate shadows and give skin a radiant, youthful glow. Radiance Reflecting Powder provides a soft-focus effect and luminosity to wrinkles for a more youthful, lifted appearance. Offers a smooth, radiant finish for 12 beautiful hours and a rich moisturizing effect for 24 hours.

♦Smooth Wrap Oil, Hydroxyproline, and Rose Apple Leaf Extract provide abundant moisture to the help counteract wrinkles and firm the skin.

♦The Skin Cancer Foundation recommends this product as an effective broad spectrum sunscreen.

One layer of Shiseido RLF, and set with In2it powder. No concealer.

My blemished face has a lot to thank Shiseido’s radiant lifting. I do like the flawless finish it does with my post acne scars , even fresh marks. Not totally erase it but you would stare in awe after application. I got the perfect shade for me in Natural deep ochre which somewhat neutralized blemishes which I believe because of its yellow-based shade. A shade lighter would be a no-no for me right now.

This is more moisturizing compared to the matte finish of perfect refining. After 4 hours I tend to go oily, so I keep Kleenex tissues for blotting. I wish this is oil free, it would’ve been perfect. :)

After 8 hours

Didn’t blot on the 8th hour, so my oily forehead is noticeable and marks are peeking through. But not bad considering I only applied one layer. It doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. The ‘radiant lifting’ is truly praise worthy. Amazing coverage plus anti-aging plus SPF? Win.

You can touch up during midday when you see your blemishes are starting to appear visible.  Thankfully this didn’t break me out.

This can be an everyday foundation, just apply a sheer layer if your want it light.

And..it comes with a pump!
