Review: Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Cream!

By Townhousepalette @townhousepal

First off, Happy first day of School and Happy EID! I just wanted to wish that before hand for fun, Now back to business, the review...

While back when I got my June myglam bag, I got this small travel size of take a deep breath moisturizer from Philosophy. I was not exposed to gel moisturizers yet. I was just using what my parents bought to my house, which were cream based. Once I used the gel moisturizer I loved it.

I loved the texture of the moisturizer and how it took my skin less than a minute to soak in.  Then after a month of using the small bottle and soon figured I was down to my last squeeze. I wanted to repurchase the product, but one problem...... It was $34.00! I knew that there was only one thing left to do, grab my backpack, my cellphone, and the Sunday newspaper and head to the drugstore(target).

After a recommendation from Missaeriefairy she told me that people had said that the Garnier one was good. Then I purchased the jar with 1.7 ounces for eight dollars.

Packaging:  It was nice actually, very eye catching. The box the jar comes in have a picture of the length and height of the product. The box has lots of words, and I mean a lot, but the gist is that one. Locks-in moisture for 24 hours. two. Blocks out dryness. It also contains grape water extract which is said to have energizing benefits to your face which probably means to energize the  blood vessels.

The product its self is a light-green gel. Its suppose to a cucumber smell, but I smelled more chemical smell than cucumber.

Last months glambag had these cucumber facial towelettes. They said to have a cooling effect, but it like burned my face, which happens to most, but it hurt T.T So, after using the product a little more you get used to the feeling. For the application " a little goes a long way" if you know what I mean. If spreads thinly, but how many layers you apply is up to you.

This moisturizer is for normal to combo skin. My skin has dry patches from my acne medicine. I add a few layers to reduce the patches. It drys pretty quickly, which is a plus.

Bottom Line: I would recommend this product.

In the comments below tell me what kind of moisturizer you use and your skin type:)xoxo-Laila
