You have probably heard at least one person mention Bourjois Magic Nail Varnish Remover at some point in the last fortnight - if you haven't, you must have been hiding under a rock! This is after all the nail polish remover that claims to work in just 1 second. I have to admit I was a little sceptical at first as most products that use a number never seem to quite get it right (especially products that have '16 hour wear' plastered all over them!), but this is the exception.
It's simple enough to use, dip in finger and twist. It feels like it should leave a greasy residue like nail polish remover pads, but doesn't! I'm not too keen on the smell - apparently there is a 'red fruit and vanilla' fragrance but my nose is yet to detect it - it's an overpowering chemical stench to me, but it's a matter of personal taste, I suppose! However, the product itself is acetone and paraben free, which makes it suitable for almost anyone and eliminates chemical waste at the other end of the deal, which may appeal to you or not depending on your mindset. On top of this, it also contains sweet almond oil to help nourish your nails in the process, whereas most removers live them a little dry looking.
With glitter nail varnish it takes on average around 3 twists to get the polish off, but compared to how long it takes with a conventional remover, this is still very impressive. I have been using it for almost a week now and the effects are still consistent - I will tell you when it finally loses its essence!
I would definitely recommend buying this, as for £4.99, you get a product that actually delivers its promises and eliminates the long term issue of finding a nail polish remover that works fast and gets rid of even the most stubborn of varnishes, in addition to reducing the amount of cotton wool you use in your life.
My wonderfully cheesy video is here to prove that it really does take a second to remove nail polish using the product - enjoy my 'shocked face', aha.
