Review: BATMAN 66 #29

Holy marbles, Batman! Has Alfred lost his? In this installment of Batman 66, we have a rather peculiar story ol’ chum. Alfred’s lookalike cousin tries to pull a fast one past the Dynamic Duo.

I have said it before, I love the old 60′s Batman stories. They were fun and humorous while still being Batman. This chapter of the series didn’t bring in your typical villain. Instead they put the trusty butler center stage. Alfred’s cousin poses as Alfred and attempts to rob Stately Wayne Manor. Without much surprise, Batman and Robin know something is strange and wrap up this story in one book.

I can’t really say anything bad about this book. It pays homage to the classic series in all the aspects from dialog, visual adaptation and sense of humor. Most of the stories thus far have been over multiple chapters when purchased digitally like I do. This story wrapped up in one chapter. We will have to wait and see what Batman and Robin will be faced with next in a couple weeks.
