The Zenbook’s screen is capable of handling nearly any creative work, and only the most ardent designers would need greater Adobe RGB capability. There is enough color width here to make everything look bold and colorful. Additionally, because of the OLED technology, black levels are suitably ink.

There is only one problem: an inability to use HDR. The maximum brightness of this panel is 600 nits, yet that brightness is insufficient to have a noticeable HDR impact.

That’s good, but if you’re looking for a significant speed gain, the M2 chip found inside the MacBook Pro 14 achieves about 14,000 points in Geekbench and is faster in single-threaded workloads.

The battery, however, is this portable’s most vulnerable component. In a video test, the 70Wh power pack lasted for 11 hours and 40 minutes, but only for seven hours in a regular work test. Although the outcome is not disastrous, working a full day will be difficult, and Apple’s devices are much more durable. That price is reasonable. There are times when the Dell XPS 13 is less expensive; one with an identical specification costs $1,099/£1,199. Although that laptop is lighter than the 14X, it is significantly slower and lacks an OLED display.

With a Core i7 CPU, the Dell XPS 13 Plus costs $1,249/£1,499; however, this chip is less powerful than the one found inside the Asus, and the price increases if the OLED panel is added.

Naturally, both MacBook models cost more money. The MacBook Pro 13 costs $1,299/£1,349 but cannot match the speed. The 14in version is quicker, but it costs at least $1,999 or £2,149 to get it.

If you get the Core i9 version of this setup, you will receive more power, but the performance difference is not significant, and the cost increases to approximately $1,499/£1,499. This model is therefore less alluring.
