Story: Rest in Peace starts as business and family man Sergio (Furriel) finds himself drowning in debt. He has exhausted nearly every resource to pay them off including criminal ones. However, they want their money back and start putting pressure on him.
After an attack in the city, Sergio sees it as an opportunity to protect his family and clear his debts. He pretends to be a victim, letting his family believe he has died in the attack. However, his wife Estela (Siciliani) doesn’t believe he is dead but learns the benefits of his death for her family’s future.

Rest in Peace is a mystery thriller following a debt-ridden man who fakes his death to help his family clear their debts. However, living a life away from his loved ones becomes more challenging as the years roll by. He is left with the ultimate decision on whether to return or not.
This movie shows how far people might go to clear debts. It presents the ultimate difficult decision that would change a family’s life forever. This accepts the reality of changing everything and creates new lives, leaving the people wondering why they might never be the same again. It is interesting and cleverly shot to give us a mystery as to how far people would go.
