Republicans Are Least Likely To Socially Distance

The two charts above are from the Gallup Poll. The surveys were done of 3,078 adults between March 13th and 15th, and of 4,342 adults between March 16th and 18th. Both surveys have a 3.5 point margin of error.
It shows that most Americans are changing their attitude and starting to cooperate with requests to socially distance themselves. In the last few days, the percentage of adults who are avoiding public places have moved from 30% to 54%. The percentage who are avoiding gatherings with others (like family and friends) has moved from 23% to 46%. That's good, but it needs to be better.
Sadly, Republicans lag behind other demographic groups --with only 43% avoiding public places (compared to 54% of Independents and 65% of Democrats), and only 37% are avoiding gatherings with others (compared to 48% of Independents and 52% of Democrats). Too many Republicans seem to have swallowed the disinformation from Trump and Fox News.
