Heritage Flights are one of my favorite airshow attractions and Chino did not disappoint.  Well it kinda did, this was planned as a multi-Jug formation but they kept breaking on Saturday.  So it was left to Dottie Mae, the freshest airworthy P-47 to carry on.  The P-47 was the largest single engine fighter of WWII.  Returned to airworthiness in August of 2017, Dottie Mae is a being a combat veteran with at least 90 missions under her belt. Now part of the Allied Fighters collection, this P-47 will be seen a lot more at West Coast airshows.  Since its inception in 1997, the Heritage Flight program has appeared at hundreds of public events and seen by millions of people. The team currently consists of 10 civilian pilots qualified to fly vintage warbirds in formation with the Air Force’s A-10, F-16, F-22 and F-35 pilots.  Nikon D500 w/Tamron 150-600mm.
