Report: PlayStation 4 to Be Announced in May, Sony Exec Hints

Finally, it’s official. Sony is officially planning to reveal something “Big” in May. And we all know what that “Big” news really is. Yes,  it’s going to be the next-gen PlayStation, what else could it be, right?

Hiroshi Sakamoto, vice president of Home Entertainment at Sony, hinted about the news while talking to the Chile news website El Mercurio.

“It’s still a big secret, but our Sony PlayStation friends are getting ready. I only can say that we’re focused on the games related E3 event, booked for June. The announcement can take place there or even before, in May.” Sony Executive replied when asked about the next-gen console rumors. “we plan to release big news for this date, but we have to wait at least until May.”

First hint for the PS4 came early this year when Sony stopped making the PlayStation 2 worldwide. It’s probably to cut down useless expenses and make space in their factories to start manufacturing the new console. Now this “big” news could be anything, but I believe it’s definitely going to be the announcement of PlayStation 4. What do you think?
