The Kegalle Police said that eight pills, 1540 milligrams of ICE, 227 milligrams of heroin were found in the rectum of a prisoner in Kegalle remand prison on Thursday.
A 27-year-old from Kurunegala, was in possession of the drugs. Police said that the suspect who was in possession of cannabis was arrested by the Kurunegala Police on June 27. He was sentenced to 10 months imprisonment by the Kegalle Magistrate’s Court as he failed to pay the fine.
