I’m not sure why more people don’t use hotel bars for a drink.
The pubs are crowded and your average chain bar lacks sophistication.
Walking through the doors of the Hotel Intercontinental situated on London’s’ Hyde Park Corner you feel totally relaxed. It’s a busy hotel but feels calm with a great sense of space and quality.
There is plenty of space in the bar area, tables and chairs yes but also huge luxurious comfortable sofas.
The Gin and Tonic was sublime served with crisps, garlicky cashew nuts and the most appetising olives I have ever seen.
I would urge you to pay a little extra for a little less stress.
