Pakistani Interior Minister Rehman Malik has demanded security for Shahrukh Khan. Talking to media while attending an event in Indian High Commission Islamabad he said that Shahrukh Khan has a huge fan following in Pakistan as well. He asked Indian government to provide him and his family fool proof security adding that Shahrukh Khan is an Indian and will remain to be Indian. Shahrukh Khan created a controversy across India when he wrote in an article that it seems to be a crime of being Muslim in India.
He alleged that he faces discrimination based on his creed and Islamic name. He said that he is criticized due to his name and extremist Hindu leaders advise him to leave for Pakistan. Shahrukh Khan is not a devote Muslim and only carries a Muslim name. His wife is a Hindu and his two kids are also named as Hindus.
