Redmi K40 series has been rumored to come with a 120Hz refresh rate, OLED Panel, and single punch-hole design on the top left corner of the device. Earlier, Some reports also unveiled that Redmi K40 could be launched by the end of this year whereas the Pro version will be available in the first quarter of next year.
Redmi is all set to launch the successor of its highly popular Redmi K30 series very soon. Recently, A well-known tipster channel named Digital Chat Station reveals some of the specifications of the redmi K40 series on Weibo. As per the tipster, The Chinese tech company will introduce the successor of the Redmi K30 series with an OLED panel, 120Hz refresh rate, and a punch-hole cutout on the top left corner side for the front-facing camera sensor.
Earlier, Some rumors also suggested that the Redmi K40 Pro will be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 875 SoC. The chipset is believed to be launched in early December and will be developed on the 5nm architecture similar to the Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 9000 and Apple A14 Bionic.
In contrast, the Redmi K40 is believed to be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC along with 5G connectivity support. In terms of optics, The smartphone will come with a Sony IMX686 64MP primary sensor and include the support of 33W fast charging technology. There are also rumors which said the handset could be packed with the Snapdragon 775G SoC.
However, The Chinese tech company has not made any official statement on its upcoming Redmi K40 series but recently Lu Weibing, General Manager of the Redmi brand and President of Xiaomi Group China had announced that the Redmi K30 Pro will soon be discontinued which means that the next-generation Redmi K40 series could get launched soon.
