Recipe: Chinese Chicken Noodles with Sugar Snap Peas!

By Ourbabyblog @OurBabyBlogx
I have such a love for cooking, i mean im no Gordon Ramsay or Heston! But i love experimenting, one of my favorite programmes is Masterchef, the US one especially! I'd love to have the talent those cooks have, although there's no way id be able to work in a kitchen, I'd probably break down and cry within 2 minutes! Ha. Ill admit I really don't do it enough, but when I do I get so into it and enjoy it so much! Especially when it comes to oriental foods, they're usually quite quick to make and are so full of flavor and yummy!
It's nice to make things from scratch and add all the little herbs and spices but you don't always have time to faff around with cutting up garlic and ginger, especially with a child pulling on your leg! This quick recipe will literally take you 15-20 minutes including prep time to make, so if you've had a busy at work and thinking about reaching for that Chinese menu, stop! This is far healthier, tastier and a lot cheaper to make! Enjoy :)
You will need;
Chicken
Sugar snap peas
Medium egg noodles
Stir fry sauce (anything you fancy, my favourites are satay or Chinese style)
Soy sauce
Maggi sauce
Sesame Oil
Salt
Pepper
1. Cut chicken into strips or cubes, however you like it :)
2. Put oil in wok and heat
3. Add chicken and stir occasionally to ensure its cooked all the way through, add salt, pepper, soy sauce and maggi sauce for seasoning, just a few splashes, soy sauce is rather salty so don't over do it :)
4. Fill a saucepan 3/4 with water and bring to the boil
5. Once chicken is pretty much cooked through add sugar snap peas and stir occasionally
5. Add noodles to boiling water and leave for 1 minute, then break them up with a fork
6. Add your choice of sauce to the wok and mix/stir/throw in the air....ha.
7. Once it's cooked nicely, turn the heat down and simmer
8. Drain the noodles and add a drizzle of sesame oil, mmmm! This stuff smells amazing! Toss the noodles in the air a little to mix together..
9. Make sure the chicken is cooked through (duh!) and add to the noodles, mix together, add some prawn crackers and you're done!
10. Enjoy!

*If you want to spice it up I recommend using Enconda chilli sauce, just a little drizzle on your noodles should be enough :)
