I hope everyone had a fantastic week and will have a great weekend. I myself had a not so perfect start to my week, because I am still fighting this cold/cough that I've had since last Saturday afternoon. The only good that came out of this week was my great dinner with my hubby on Valentine's Day.As you may have read from my last post, My husband and I went to dinner at Juliette's. It's inside of the downtown Omni hotel, ( which is where we had our wedding reception). They are the ones that catered our wedding reception dinner. It was great going back, and eating a lovely dinner.Before headed to Juliette's, we first stopped at Burrito Gallery to have a drink (or 2). I'm not a big drinker, so when we do go out for the occasional adult beverage, I normally just get a Malibu & Pineapple. I am definitely a fruity mix drinker, no real hard core liquor for me. Ha!
Anyway, after our drinks there we headed down the street to Juliette's. I gave my husband his Valentine's Day card at the house, and he knows, all I ever want as a gift is a card. I love collecting cards and going back and re-reading them years later. I know strange, but whatever. :)He gave me something better than a card this year, he wrote me a very beautiful, romantic 2 page letter pouring his heart out to me. I've gotten gagets, flowers, candy, purses, gift cards...but this letter was the best gift I could of ever gotten from him. It took effort, thought & love to write it. I asked him how come he wrote it instead of just telling me, he said," I tell you every day I love you, but I know that in this day and age people always use technology by texting, emailing and just not taking the time to physically write a letter, so I thought why buy a card to tell how I feel, when I can just write it". Awe... how sweet was that!!
