Bacteria concerns have prompted the Johnson & Johnson company to recall its Aveeno Baby Calming Comfort lotion. A sample of the product showed it had too much of a bacteria that is common to the scalp and skin, called coagulase-negative staphylococci.
This is a voluntary recall and the company says only a small amount of its product was affected. Johnson & Johnson says the potential for any negative health effects are slim. Retailers like Wal-Mart, Target and HEB have pulled the product from its shelves. The recall affects the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas.
