Realme 8 5G launched in India today as the most affordable 5G in India yet. The smartphone features a triple rear camera setup, a 5000mah big battery, MediaTek budget 5G chipset, 90Hz IPS display, and more.

Realme 8 5G 6.5 inches IPS LCD display with a Full-HD+ ( 1080 x 2400 pixels ) resolution, 600 nits peak brightness, 90Hz fast refresh rate, 405 DPI pixel density, and 90.5% screen to body ratio. In terms of Dimensions, the phone measures 162.5mm x 74.8mm x 8.5mm and weighs 185 grams. The smartphone is powered with MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G octa-core chipset coupled with ARM Mali-G57 GPU.


Coming to optics, the smartphone sports a triple rear camera that includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro lens with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The phone boasts a 16-megapixel selfie sensor under the punch-hole on the top left corner. The phone is running on Android 11 with the latest Realme UI on top.


The device is packed with a 5000mah battery and supports 18W fast charging. For connectivity, the phone includes 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-FI, GPS, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Sensors onboard, the smartphone includes Distance Sensor, Light sensor, Electromagnetic wave sensor, Motion Sensor, Gyroscope, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The base variant of the Realme 8 5G is priced at Rs.14,999 for 4GB RAM + 128GB storage. On the other hand, The high-end variant costs Rs.16,999 for 8GB + 128GB storage. The first sale of the device is going to be live on Flipkart and Realme.com from 28 April.
