Real Wedding at Great Fosters Luxury Hotel

By Claire

Talk about a gorgeous wedding venue… Great Fosters is a grade I listed building in Surrey, an elegantly sprawling mansion house with a history of royal and prestigious guests and residents.

William and Joanne were married in spring, just as the early blossom was beginning to come out. It was the perfect complement for their pink wedding theme.

Sugar & Spice Photography is the ‘dream job’ of photographer Juliet McKee. She’s a UK wedding bloggers’ favourite and I love how she captures the romance of a wedding day from moment to sparkling moment.

Joanne’s dress was a Maggie Sottero, and her accessories were from Accessorize. I love these images – they capture the essence of the countryside wedding venue as well as the luxury of Joanne and William’s day.

Joanne’s bridesmaids wore bright and colourful fuchsia pink, with lovely calla lily and lily of the valley bouquets to match.

Joanne looking gorgeous and glamorous with her three lovely bridesmaids.

The gorgeous hair accessories the bridesmaids wore are from Accessorize – and I love them.

The wedding ceremony was at Weybridge Registry Office. I love this photo with Joanne’s smile taking centre stage. The twinkly sparkly lights add a little magic.

A gorgeous shot of Joanne’s shoes (Occasions range at Next) surrounded by all that lovely bustley wedding dress… Love this one!

Great Fosters has so many glorious spots for photography.

The Orangery at Great Fosters is lovely and bright, full of sunshine and easy to decorate to match a wedding theme. Joanne’s choice of fuchsia pink makes it look girly and gorgeous.

A final photograph and one I think is fantastic… Juliet McKee called it Lovely Legs – such a little detail, such a great picture!

Thank you to Juliet from Sugar and Spice Photography for sharing William and Joanne’s wedding photographs. It looks like such a gorgeous day, and I love the colour scheme for a spring wedding.

Fuchsia pink is a great idea for a wedding day when the cherry blossom comes out – it’s perfect for spring weddings, and I love a splash of bright colour for a spring wedding day (let’s face it – Joanne and William were lucky with the weather; if you’re having a spring wedding, a bright colour like this can add so much if the weather’s a bit dull!)
