Re-wiring and Other Updates

By Bertyc @bertyc
This weekend we had yet another busy and productive workday on Saturday. The new recruits are starting to become more involved in the regular team activities, as well as learning other sub-team related essentials, such as Solidworks (CAD program the team uses) for the mechies, and soldering/wiring for the... electrical... people. Lots of work always gets done whenever we have the epoxy hand watching over us...

We (Tim) will also be re-wiring the car before the next race, mainly for the purpose of weight saving, and while switching to smaller gauge wire doesn't seem like a significant weight loss, everything adds up eventually. Tim started the re-wiring process today... can't say for sure how long it will take him (probably not that long), but I snagged a picture of him working on it.

And of course we managed to get some hockey in at the end of the day. This time the mechanical team divided into teams of four and played against each other, because the electrical team was either too busy to play, or worried that we'd beat them (most likely the latter). Was a good way to end the day.
Jeff ended the day pretty good too; relaxing on our awesome couch... can't go wrong there.

That's it for this week, keep an eye out for more team updates.
