A formation of Texas-based Raytheon T-6A Texan II trainers make a flyby during the San Francisco Fleet Week Airshow. The green one wears a heritage scheme of the USAF 89th Fighter Training Squadron. Introduced in 2001, the T-6 Texan II basic trainer aircraft is based on the Pilatus PC-9 and replaced the USAF Cessna T-37B Tweet and the US Navy’s T-34C Turbo Mentor. Still in production, more than 850 have been delivered to military operators around the world.
