Backup Charger for Cell Phones or Tablets

I hate when I'm out shopping or I'm using my phone in my house and my cell phone dies. When you're not near your wall charger or car charger, what can you do?The solution is to have a backup charger or an external battery pack on hand! Thanks to RAVPower, I was given the opportunity to review their RAVPower Luster Compact Power Bank in gold.
I was very excited to review this. Right before the company contacted me, I was doing my own research about external phone chargers. My smartphone is near me all day since I use it to check on the blog, converse on Facebook, or keep myself busy while the baby is nursing. I use my phone so much during the day that the battery is zapped and I have to leave it plugged into the wall or computer before I can use it again. If I'm out with the kids at the store or park, I have to use my smartphone sparingly or the battery dies and I have no way to charge it. That means limited access to money saving apps and my camera!With the RAVPower Luster Compact Power Bank on hand, I don't have to worry about my phone dying when I need it most! I can have it near me in the house to give my phone a charge or I can easily fit it in the diaper bag or my clutch when I need it when I'm out and about.

At night I charge the power bank using my AC adaptor. I can use the USB cable that comes with the power bank or my own USB cable from my phone. Either one works. 

This power bank is considered a lipstick charger due to it's size. It's about 5 inches in length and only weighs about 5 oz., so it's super easy to take this external battery anywhere! Another awesome aspect of this battery pack is that it can also function as a 3-mode flashlight! When charged, it can produce a bright beam, a low beam, and a strobe light.Not only is this a great device to have on hand at home or out in public, but it is a perfect device to have on hand in case of an emergency. You can use it for:

  • charging a cell phone or tablet in a power outage
  • a flashlight in a power outage
  • a flashlight or strobe light for a car emergency on the side of the road
