The Criminal Investigation Division of the Kandy Police arrested two railway controllers in connection with the beating and killing of a person on Thursday (18). Two controllers residing in railway houses in William Gopallawa Mawatha, Kandy have been arrested in connection with a murder that took place on January 13. The railway controllers had told the Police that they had attacked a thief who had jumped into the railway houses. “The two train controllers were arrested after further investigation,” Senior Deputy Inspector General in charge of the Central Province Lalith Pathinayake said.
