Rahula College Matara recorded a thrilling three wicket win over Dharmapala College Pannipitiya in the 5th Limited Over encounter played at Uyanwatta stadium on Monday.
In a match reduced to 32 overs per side Dharmapala elected to bat first but were restricted to 110 runs by Chamod Battage (3/26) and Sulekshana Shri Eshan (4/20). Navindu Madusanka 30 off 41 balls and Rashmitha Emantha 38 off 61 balls were the only batsmen to reach double figures. Rashmitha and Sachintha Chamika put on a 27-run partnership making the bowlers toil for 9.3 overs.
In reply Bhagya Ediriweera, Tharindu Rajapaksa, Lakindu Chamodya and Chamod Battage helped Rahula win the game with three wickets in hand and six overs to spare.
Dharmapala lead the series three games to two.
