On a super sunny evening in downtown Toronto, we saw the city's own Fast Romantics take the stage and give us a taste of rock and roll.
The 5 piece group was upbeat and energized as they played for the crowd at Yonge-Dundas Square. It was the perfect after work musical treat for NXNE fans and Torontonians making their way home from the office. And it was a fantastic way for us to dip our feet into the newly revamped festival.
The band gave us a taste of some new music they've written, including ... and they did great justice to a American Love and Radio Waves Pretty Woman cover of Roy Orbison's classic, .
Note: Lead singer, Matthew Angus gave thanks to an unnamed dude in the crowd for gifting him some sunglasses as he faced west into the beating evening sun!
