There are plenty of comics out there as everyone knows, but most of them are not really worth your time. Then you find the comic Quit Your Job by James Kochalka published by Alternative Comics. The story is really quite fun, being able to tell a story that does not really make much sense, but you will forget that due to just how great the story turns out to be. The story really is much deeper than it may appear to be, giving emotions to the reader that they did not expect when the story began. The story is one that many have probably thought of at the very beginning of the day. Wondering whether or not to quit your deadbeat job and of all the things you could have done instead of going to work, probably with some type of fantasy element being involved. The layout of the comic makes for good pacing for the story allowing the story to be told in a very relaxing way, such as a bed time story at times. The characters are quite lovable with the cussing just adding to story and really fitting. Kitty is probably my favorite character, she always has the right things to say that fit whatever situation making you smile for a variety of reasons. The art is very much influenced by cartoons, getting a similar feeling Ren and Stimpy had. The dialog just feels so right, being able to flow nicely, a great addition to the art. The jokes of the story are just part of the story and do not interrupt anything, they feel conversationalistic. If you want a good story filled with a good amount of laughs then I would definitely recommend trying to find a copy of this book as soon as possible.
