Quick Creamy Tava Rice

Main Ingredient: Boiled Rice, Cream and yogurt

Ingredients:

  • 11/2 cups Boiled rice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic (lehsun) paste
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1/2 cup finely sliced onions
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped capsicum
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped tomatoes
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
  • 3-4 tablespoon fresh curds (dahi)
  • 1/4 cup fresh cream
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder or to taste

Method:

  1. Heat the oil on a broad and heavy bottam pan or tava (griddle).
  2. add the onions and sauté on a medium flame for 1-2 minute.
  3. Add the garlic paste and sauté on a medium flame for another 1 minute.
  4. Add the tomatoes, capsicum, turmeric, chilli powder and curds and sauté on a medium flame for 2-3 more minute.
  5. Add the cooked rice, cream and salt mix well and cook on a medium flame for 3-4 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
  6. Serve immediately.
