Quatre-Vingt Dix Ans De Vogue[art]

It isn't my place to snark on high fashion magazines and the monthly paperweights they put out full of crazy-ridiculous fashion ads for even crazier and more ridiculously priced clothing —which I secretly covet. But anyways, the point is that this blog—or me— isn't above admiring some of French Vogue's past covers. The ones which are clearly inspired by art that is.
For their 90th. anniversaire the mag put up online a gallery of 50 covers from the past. These are my faves:

 Mondrian inspired dress. A Choc indeed. By the way, I want this dress so bad!

So there it is, awesome 'artsy' covers by French Vogue. Can't wait to see the lack of anything artsy in Next month's W magazine The Art Issue. Warhol would not be proud!
