Russian President Vladimir Putin has sparked outrage from the Washington establishment, from Democrats, liberals and even within certain factions of the Republican party, with a much talked about Op-Ed published in the New York Times, talking about American history in relation to a potential strike in Syria and titled it a "A Plea for Caution from Russia."
Putin ended by talking about American exceptionalism, referring to Barack Obama's Syria speech and ended with "God created us equal."
The opinion piece has also sparked a headline, the one I used above, from The Hill.
Critics accuse Putin of hypocrisy considering his own history and manner of ruling Russia, and are slamming the New York Times for running it, but in the video below by The Young Turks, host host Cenk Uygur make an excellent point of the op-ed being news, no matter how you cut it, when the the president of another country writes and op-ed, there is nothing wrong with publishing it.
Like the man or hate the man, the one undeniable fact is that during the whole Syria crisis, Putin has outplayed, out-talked and generally made mincemeat of Barack Obama.
