Purity Ring just released their first new track since their auspicious 2012 debut, Shrines, an album that still feels current for its listening longevity. “Push Pull” feels less murky than their preceding work yet retains their gorgeous, cryptic lyricism. “You were young and you’d stare/With a reverence unimpaired/There was an echo far and faint/Beneath the air remained.” Their signature deviation from common electronic pop patterns is present, and the track is accompanied with one hell of a visualizer — quite Purity Ring-esque in nature.
