@punk6529 Finally Announced Their Open Metaverse Project with @oncyber

A few of NFT collectors have established substantial Twitter followings, where they discuss their buying and selling activities and provide trading advice. With the support of their big following, several of these collectors are now starting new projects. Punk6529, an NFT insider, did just that.

They recently tweeted that the whole NFT collection is now on exhibit in a metaverse museum section. Who will be there? Everybody.

Visitors to the massive community will be able to see some of the world’s most expensive NFTs online. This high-profile virtual museum area, which contains Bored Apes, CryptoPunks, and ArtBlocks, is slated to serve as the beginning point for a massive virtual city known as “OM.” OM is projected to support a virtual population of 100 million individuals when completely functioning.

The first of several districts

Punk6529’s OM, which is driven by the Web3 world-building engine OnCyber, is simply one component of a wider idea. The ultimate objective is to create a “Open Metaverse” that everyone may access and contribute to. The launch of the 6529 Museum District marks the start of the project’s inaugural phase.

Punk6529 and the rest of the project’s team want for this pilot launch to be symbolic of what OM would ultimately grow into: an open, inclusive, community-built Metaverse environment. “I gather in public, I invest in public, and we will develop OM in public together,” Punk6529 said on Twitter.

This open building procedure will incorporate the antiques on exhibit in the 6529 Museum District. While viewing some of the world’s most expensive NFTs on display will be an initial draw for visitors, it will also be a location where guests may exhibit NFTs from their own collections for everyone to see.

Over 2000 NFTs are currently on exhibit, all of which belong to Punk6529 or other project team members. With the museum district’s planned open structure, this number should only climb as more people explore the virtual world.

A location with a purpose

OM is now poised to become a large-scale online experiment. What is the objective? To test whether a fully functional, self-sustaining, community-built neighborhood might live and thrive in the Metaverse.

During the alpha phase, Punk6529 and the rest of the team will have to answer a seemingly innocuous, yet essential question: will this be an entertaining and engaging place to hang out?

If a significant enough number of people vote yes, the building of the digital city may proceed, and the next concerns are about how it will be governed and how it will be able to maintain itself economically. But, when it comes to money, one part of the idea is already clear. Despite the great potential for profit, Punk6529 has said unequivocally that OM would remain a brand-neutral zone free of corporate influence.

No one entity, not even OM’s creators, will have complete control or ownership of what may become a virtual city of 100 million people. As a consequence, the alpha and beta phases will be essential in defining how the virtual space will be able to meet its lofty goals and sustain itself as a community for years to come.

Punk6529 believes that OM can truly represent Web3 ideals if everything is in place. Let’s hope they’re successful.
