When I walked into Niagara, it was already buzzing with anticipation, and only a short while later, it was absolutely heaving with people. Eventually, Public Access TV opened their first show to a jam-packed bar, immediately picking up with a fast tempo and no messing about. There was nothing better than watching this new band do what they love doing most: play their music and have fun while at it. Their lighthearted lyrics (well, the ones I could understand that is — I always struggle with that at shows) and catchy, upbeat pop-rock melodies could and should have easily gotten everyone dancing, and a few girls close to me gave it a good go, but there was just not enough space for groovy moves. In the end, I’d love to see Public Access play a bit of a bigger venue with more room for their sound and for people to get moving.
