It's a new year, and players everywhere are hoping this means a better try to get one PS5. 2020 wasn't friendly to the players; Since the console was released on November 12th, it's sold out everywhere. Right now, the only consoles you can buy are labeled to an obscene level on reseller sites like eBay and StockX, often at multiples of their retail value of $ 400 or $ 500 (depending on which model you want). The console was otherwise virtually impossible to find as at least one person waited 36 hours in line to grab one at a California GameStop.

The PS5 is available in two versions: a $ 500 model with Blu-rayand an otherwise identical digital-only version for $ 400 with no disc slot.
