Twitter was inundated today with reports from reviewers who received their PlayStation 5 test units. One of those reviewers, Austin Evans, posted a video on YouTube talking about what he's allowed to talk about so far.
In an unboxing video for the DualSense controller that comes with PS5 consoles, Evans confirms something we suspected: DualSense supports Android right away.

In the video, Evans actually uses the controller to play a game through Microsoft's xCloud service (oh, the irony). You can see the mirrored video below.
DualSense Android support is real!

While this is exciting news for Android gamers, it is not entirely unexpected. Not long ago we heard that the innards of the DualSense controller are very similar to those of the DualShock 4, the PlayStation 4 controller. So it makes perfect sense that DualSense also supports Android.
That said, it's exciting to know that your shiny new PlayStation 5 controller can act as a shiny new Android controller anytime!
The Sony PlayStation 5 will go on sale on November 12th. Good luck though, as the pre-orders sold out within minutes. However, the DualSense controller should be relatively easy to come by.
