Look of the Day – Two things. Yes, my dress reminded me so much of high school Prom. No, I’m not going to one. I’m too old(?) for that I guess.
A-line pink maxi dress with bow details, Dressestylist.
“Boy it’s late, walk me home, put your hand in mine
At the gate, stop and say, “Be my valentine”
You are, by far, the brightest star I’ve ever seen
And I never dreamed I’d be so happy that I could die..”
School has just started and I know it could be way too early to think about what to wear from prom. We can prepare our pegs, however. After all, it is one of the highlights on one’s high school life right? This day and age lets teens browse, pick, pay, and get their dream dress in a jiffy. Looking back, ours wasn’t all that flashy and instantaneous. I wouldn’t want to rent a gown to avoid an incident of who wore it better. I had to draw (poorly, albeit) and show it to the local seamstress just to have it made. Not that I’m primitive but you get what I mean. Now everything’s different thanks to online shopping!
Prom Song has to be my favorite track in Lana’s new album Die For Me. LSS all the way!
The embellished bow completed the look. No need to pile on blings for I only need one ring! It rhymed well. Lol!
Soft and pastel colors elicit a youthful effect so avoid solid colors when choosing a dress. Give thoughts about the cloth too be it chiffon, silk, satin, etc.
I specifically love how the bow created a cascade of chiffon at the bottom. I did not bother to pick matching shoes, it’s covered anyway. Any high-heeled pumps would do. What do you think?!
Stay wicked!
