Project Life: April 2015

By Winyeemichelle

A little recap of April plus surplus snaps and a refreshed decor system. Well April turned out to be quite something. Having spent the past five months gallivanting around much of Hong Kong in utter holiday mode, things got a bit much this month and I took a pre-empted step back from everything.
As well as it being a spendy four-weeks for me, I’ve taken a lot of pleasure in simply heading home after work and catching up with friends via 7-hour difference WhatsApp chats, watching my favorite TV shows, reformatting my PL album and also making plans for the summer.
I only really show snippets of my album and basically, half of my scrapbook is fairly personal and with almost nothing happening this month sans an impromptu 11k hike and all the good things happening career and fangirl-wise, there's not much to share this time round. However, here are some of my new and reworked pages in my album. I had a moment of madness early in the month and set up a makeshift workshop in my lounge where I reformatted some 2014 pages and brought back some of my old scrapbooking techniques!

Surplus March
Slap on the wrist because at the time of sharing highlights from the March division of my album, I hadn’t even put together about 2 weeks worth of pages.

This page is from a day out at Tai O. It was just starting to get weird and humid and we trekked out to see the traditional stilt houses and Chinese pink dolphins. Kind of a photo heavy spread but I took so many snaps!

I already have plenty of ideas for my next few spreads! I printed off a bunch of photos from my Instagram feed with Sticky9's new Large Prints and I spotted some fellow scrappers including 'screenshots' of their actual Instagrams plus likes, captions and comments within their spreads. Despite my Project Life scrapbook being primarily to enjoy more off-screen hobbies, I think that's an amazing way to document my current social media obsession to reflect on in years to come.
Kit-wise, I have now whittled my design and system down to Type A sheets, the Heidi Swapp Gold Foil value kit and the Notes and Things value kit. I have an array of other kits but the core elements are those mentioned kits! (: On my wishlist is the Adventure core edition kit and the Inspire Collection core kit! I *might* post a process video or post soon, showing how I create each spread within my scrapbook, if you're interested?
