Project CARS is just too much for Wii U to handle; much like a little red Corvette or a never-handled, three-year-old colt.
Slightly Mad Studios admitted back in June it was struggling to hit 30fps with the racer. The team currently has the game running on the console, but olny at 23fps.
Now, it appears the delayed version of the game is skipping Wii U and should Nintendo’s NX system prove powerful enough, it could possibly be moved over to the new hardware.
Speaking with Nintendo Life, studio head Ian Bell said as it stands now, Project CARS is “simply too much for the Wii U.”
Bell also reiterated the team is eagerly awaiting the NX announcement from Nintendo. Hopefully, it’s hardware can handle the racer.
