I've been MIA with my Project 366 posts because it has just been absolutely manic recently! Having Liv off for a two week half term school break has meant work has been a little slower than usual, almost like back to proper lockdown style. However, I'm back and this time I have more images to include in our round up of our half term fun ... catch up with below...
Project 366 Week 43 Half Term Fun
School
Liv has a busy run down to half term at school and I'm glad that she is on track with homework, meaning we can actually have a rest during her two weeks off.
I'm a big fan of getting out in the great outdoors to blow away the cobwebs and with the now set in stone, what better time for a walk down our favourite walking path! I thought I would change from tradition and feature an image of The Lines on a recent Autumn walk. It is always so beautiful to walk along during Autumn, with some many different colours to soak in whilst ambling along.
Work
I forget how knackering work is at this point every year. The Christmas rush is on and I'm already behind on publishing the Gift Guide posts... so keep your eyes peeled for more posts and giveaways next week! However do check out the Sim's Life Christmas Food Inspiration post! It has been hard to find the time to sit down and write words on a blank screen this past week and I've found myself working when most people are making Zzzzz's, but I find that working at night is actually quite productive!
I featured a new giveaway to win a K-pay contactless payment keyring earlier in the week. Such a nifty gadget that really helps to speed up the shopping process... and also keeps you safer these days. Contacless payments offer added reassurance during these crazy times, so why not add a little funk to it!
You may have notice there has been a bit of a theme change too... I'm still working on it and need to brush up on WPBakery skills to make it look prettier , but Karen is pushing me nudging me along and making sure I stay on-track... ish!
Getting Out And About
Well, the news we were all expecting came, Manchester moved into the Tier 3 category of local lockdowns and what a hu-ha it was! Andy Burnham certainly made his name known to all... and to the people of Manchester too! In all fairness, I can't say what the dude has been up to since he became mayor, all I know is I've been paying towards his wage ever since. It seems that there is an awful lot of finger pointing and blame being thrown from all sides at the moment, however am I the only person who sees that NO-ONE has an actual workable solution to this shizzle?! You put men in charge and nothing gets done!
Seriously... the blame game takes up far too much effort and it is all so goddam tiresome and dull, just chill! Having said that, it all keeps the media happy as they get to fill up their column inches, which is why I gave up reading anything Covid-19 related yonks ago. We are being sensible, keeping safe and keeping contact with the outside world to a minimum... heck, we are living our own literal series of The Walking Dead! I have dodging people down as a fine art!
That said, we did pop into our local town to enjoy one last coffee/hot chocolate with lashings of whipped cream and shopping trip with a fabulous buddy of mine. A girlie trip out was just what we all needed and alongside some Primark bargain, I also managed to pick up some more M&S Percy Pig related goodies! I couldn't resist the Christmas Percy Pig shopping bag... and somehow the Percy Pig cupcakes hopped in my basket too... rude!
I did have a chuckle at the new range of M&S Pjs, they are totally apt for life right now!
We managed a trip out to our favourite ice cream stop and it was the busiest we have seen it all year! I guess everyone was getting in one last outing before the colder weather set in. We also racked up enough visits on our loyalty card that I managed to enjoy a free cone of ice cream, finally being able to enjoy the 'Game of Cones' flavour, happy days!
What have we been watching?
Inbetween the final episodes of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (Erika is still my fave!), Liv requested a Harry Potter marathon and who was I to refuse? However we are now in the anti-climatic slump and need something else to immerse ourselves into... have you got any suggestions?
What have you got planned for half term? Are you looking forward to the break?
